This is a family favorite, especially around the holidays.
I like to use the holiday M&M's
1 Large box of Chex cereal 3/4 c. Butter
1 Large bag of M&M's 1 3/4 c. Corn syrup
1 Small package of peanuts (about 1 Cup) 1 3/4 c. Sugar
2 cup raisins 2 teasp. Vanilla
Mix the cereal, M&M's, peanuts and raisins in a bowl. In a saucepan melt butter, add in the corn syrup and sugar cook on medium heat. Bring to a boil and boil for three minutes. Take off heat and add the vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture and mix until it is all coated. Pour onto wax paper and let cool.
Another option is to put in only 1 cup raisins and add 1 cup coconut.
